Serbian prototype MRAP

Lazar was designed as a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle with elements of the Multi Role Armored Vehicle (MRAV) concept.

Lazar can be used for counter-terrorism and guerrilla warfare, particularly in urban zones with high ambush risks. It features a V-shaped hull for mine protection (up to 6kg TNT), elevated chassis, and armor offering STANAG Level III+ protection frontally (12.7x108mm from 100m) and Level II on sides, upgradable to Level V with composite armor. It includes bulletproof windows, a roof-mounted combat station (up to 2 tons) with options like the M-06 turret (7.62mm or 12.7mm machine guns, 30mm grenade launcher, or 20mm cannon), and space for 3 crew plus 10 infantry. The 8x8 drivetrain with solid axles and leaf springs ensures off-road capability, powered by a 400-440 hp engine, with a top speed of 90 km/h and a 600 km range. It can handle a 60% longitudinal incline, 30% lateral incline, and features ABS brakes, central tire pressure regulation, and a 10t winch.
